WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boosts in certain statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item upgrade by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

The more modernized gear generally has a more value in trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the requirement to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every several weeks.

The cost of upgrades will depend on the current item level of the item being upgraded but they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment from other sources. For instance upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used for weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for various currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be used on any weapon or tool using a button, which will display an image of the item at the next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the slot of the item and the current item level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers for example. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of Flightstones or crests that are used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currency types.

Many locations offer item upgraders which include the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount as well as a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrading increases as more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete certain achievements or quests.

Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no item upgrade level upgrade (mouse click the next article) upgrader available at the start of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that can be used to upgrade require several methods that are both an improvement but also a drawback.

In Season 3, many new features have been added to the upgrade system. After a player has earned an upgrade to a specific level for an item upgrade in an armor slot, upgrading additional items to the same level will cost less even in the event that they are part of a different gear set.

The discount applies to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players achieve certain achievement milestones.

Crests

Players have a number of options for upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are utilized during specific item upgrades level upgrades. Crests are an important part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

First, you must be aware that the crests can only be purchased for equipment with a certain rank. Each rank comes with a different upgrade path. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade route costs 15 crests while the more complex one may require as many as 20 crests depending on the kind of gear being upgraded.

Players can obtain crests by completing content of the appropriate level, whether that means walking around and doing outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons of all difficulties for higher-tier items or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons for gear that is used in the endgame. These crests can be exchanged with an upgrader for the item like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and routes.

Using these new currencies isn't too difficult, but the system introduces some changes to the overall upgrade process. For instance, when a piece of equipment reaches the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't need Flightstones to be upgraded. This change allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest level possible on all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests with care, since they are only used for one purpose. It is best to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the best gear you can locate and save Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly true for items such as trinkets and rings that take up multiple slots. The account-wide discount will only be applicable if all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
