Ghost Immobiliser 2

Secures your vehicle from key cloning and prevents thieves from driving it using the original keys. Our most recent immobiliser is connected to your vehicle's CAN data network and a unique pin must be entered to begin the engine.

In contrast to trackers, Ghost does not transmit radio frequency signals and cannot be detected by diagnostic tools. Ghost doesn't have LED indicators or buttons that could indicate its presence in your vehicle or van.

Anti-key Cloning

The Ghost immobiliser was designed to prevent key cloning. The device connects to the CAN data network in your vehicle and generates an unique pin code sequence that is activated by pressing the buttons from the factory on your dashboard as well as the steering wheel. This will stop the thief from being able to start your vehicle. If the wrong PIN is entered, it will prevent the engine from starting which makes it impossible for you to drive away with your joy and pride.

OBD port hacking

OBD port hacking is the latest method being used by professional car thieves to steal vehicles. Thieves have access to your vehicle's OBD port with nothing more than a laptop, an application and a few cables that can be bought online for under PS50. Once they have access, they can do anything they like, from resetting your vehicle's fault codes, tuning your vehicle, or stealing it within a matter of minutes.

If you have an Ghost immobiliser installed, it will stop your car being stolen using this method by requiring that a unique PIN sequence is entered into your key fob in order to start the engine and then drive away. It does this by interacting with the vehicles ECU (Engine Control Unit) on the CAN Data circuit and is indetectable to any scan or code grabbing technology. It also has a Service/Valet mode which will allow your vehicle to start without the need for a PIN code.

To use an OBD hacking device, you'll must have an operating system that is capable of reading the OBD protocol, which can be bought for less than PS100 on eBay or Amazon. You will also require a cable with OBD pins connected to the CAN Bus. These cables are available at Amazon or Ebay for around PS50. You then need to splice the cable into the wiring harness of your vehicle for example, in the radio wiring harness.

Once the hacker has a connection to your vehicle's OBD port, they are able to send diagnostics to the system at high baud rates which will crash the CAN and block systems in your vehicle from functioning. This can cause your car's engine to stall or lock up.

The PIN code is able to be changed to lock out earlier drivers or include an override code if you forget the sequence. During installation the installer will show how to accomplish this. The system also has the option of a valet mode that can be used to temporarily disable the pin input sequence to allow your mechanic or garage can repair the vehicle without needing to know the code. This is a great option for those who do not wish their pin sequence to be revealed but still would like to leave their vehicle with valet parking or service.
