Volvo Key Fob Troubleshooting

Volvo drivers love the remote control features of their key fob. Using a smartphone app, they can lock and unlock the car or start the engine and even locate it.

First, put the fob of the key on an even surface, with the logo side facing upward. Locate the button that releases it, then wedge an object between the cover and the fob and then pull it up with care.

Locking the Doors

Volvo's remote keyfobs allow you to unlock your vehicle's doors, tailgate and flap for filling up with fuel at the press of a button. The remote key fobs can also switch on the ignition and set off the alarm. They can even operate the sunroof, in the event that it's fitted. Close the Windows

Volvo key fobs have a hidden feature that allows you to instantly open all the windows. This is helpful when you are trying to squeeze into tight parking spaces or simply want fresh air while driving.

To unlock your Volvo simply press and hold the unlock button on your Volvo remote for repairing four seconds. This will lower all the windows, and the sunroof if it has one. When you're finished with the vehicle, you can shut all windows by pressing the lock button again for four seconds.

You can also use your key fob to activate your car's panic alarm. It will emit an intense, enthralling roar that could frighten away thieves and allow you to return home safe after a long night out. This feature comes in handy for those who live in a secluded area or want to protect your family members when they are away.

The opening of the Tailgate

Volvo's key fob comes with useful features. They are ideal when you're slammed with shopping or helping your kids to pack their sports gear after practice.

If you own the Hands-Free Liftgate with Logo Projection and Programmable Height (if equipped) You can open it by using the key fob. It is possible to open the liftgate by pressing the button, and then close it by pressing the same button.
