The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that's priced in the middle. It's a great mopping performance but lacks some of the features of its more expensive sibling.

In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. It does not use LIDAR, however, as other models do to identify your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and plenty of features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automated schedules that will give you an effortless cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning process at the push of the button. You can select an overall clean which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as rice and cereal. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some other models and can remove pet hair with ease. It's a challenge with plush or high-pile carpets however iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has an advanced filtration system that blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think it's a nice statement, but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map your interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, such as staircases and other barriers, and to tidy up your whole home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and set up virtual boundaries, so it can recognize areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on higher-end models. Its mopping system is superior - its spinning pads clean your floors more effectively than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

The only drawback is that it doesn't have a second rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable cost to pay for if you are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than its competitors. Filling it takes just two or three cycles, even when you've got a lot of dirt.

For the mopping device, I was amazed with its ability to scrub hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very little noise, so you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. If it encounters the wall or a furniture piece, it gently bumps into it and moves forward.

What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely on its own, with no need for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and can automatically transfer trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is not right for example, a low clean water tank or a canceled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.

You can also create and merge actual rooms to alter how the Q Revo will treat your home. That's a handy feature to have if you have several rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or there's a lot of clutter that must be removed regularly, such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the top performers in my tests, picking up debris on carpets and hardwood floors with the first pass. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you could wish for. It comes with an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also has a new sensor system that better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The most notable improvement over the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best robot vacuum cleaner known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet high and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the robot itself and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris and is easier to empty when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even when you're at home. It also comes with more mopping options and a smart routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean certain rooms or areas of your house instead of simply following a predetermined path.

The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its mop pads that rotate to remove tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent too and it enhances suction when it detects carpets to ensure that it does the job well. It comes with a huge, rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a host of features that you aren't likely to find on robots in this price range. It is able to build detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types and is one of the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These features are nice, but they also push the L10s into the class of luxury. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners want.

Created to resemble a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish enhanced by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving around the home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The central control panel is a circular menu that lets you choose cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons will allow you to access the settings in the app, which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This creates a precise floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop with ease, without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for families with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our hard-floor test and getting rid of all but the most difficult juice stains. The mops also work well in removing 98.4 percent of debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the hard floor and the quaker oats that are on carpet.
