About Toto

The band Toto was formed in 1976 by guitarists Jeff Porcaro and David Paich (who were also highly acclaimed studio musicians who worked with Boz Scaggs at the time) as well as bassist/singer Bobby Kimball. The name of the group came from a Latin word that translates to "all-encompassing" and was determined to explore every musical style.

In 1999, the band releases Mindfields and begin an extensive tour around the world. After a few months in Europe they come to Japan where the shows are sold out. Toto's touring group is comprised by drummer Lenny Castro, bassist Shannon Forrest and keyboardist Shem von Schroeck.
